THERE will be a number of road closures in place tomorrow due to the torch relay.
Vehicles will not be able to park on all or part of these roads tomorrow morning – this will come into effect this evening. Residents who normally park their vehicle on one of these roads are asked to find alternative parking.
Spalding: Bourne Road, Winsover Road, Station Street, Sheep Market, The Crescent, Vine Street, Spring Gardens, Priory Road, Haverfield Road, London Road, Hall Place, Church Street, Halmergate; Moulton: A151 High Road; Whaplode: A151 High Road, A151 Spalding Road; Holbeach: A151 Spalding Road, West End, High Street, Fleet Street, Fleet Road; Long Sutton: Gedney Road, Market Street, High Street, London Road.
While the torch passes through South Holland there will be temporary road closures. Road closures will be implemented on a rolling basis and roads will be opened again as soon as possible. The timings listed below give approximate timings.
Spalding: 7am – Sheep Market; 9am – A151 Bourne Road, Winsover Road, Station Street, The Crescent, Vine Street and adjoining side roads; 9.30am – Bridge Street, Church Street, Halmer Gate, Low Road and adjoining side roads; Moulton and Whaplode – 10.05am – High Road, Spalding Road and adjoining side roads; Holbeach – 8.30am – Church Street; 9.30am – High Street and adjoining side roads; 9.45am – Spalding Road, High Street, Fleet Street, Fleet Road, Long Sutton; 10.50am – Main Road, Gedney Road, Market Street, High Street, London Road, Wisbech Road and adjoining side roads.
