Ringing the changes at town charity shop

An army of volunteers have been helping to give a Spalding charity shop a facelift in a bid to make the most of a stunning display of collectibles.

Recently-appointed manager of the Butterfly Hospice shop Clair Bint and her helpers have installed new cabinets to show off a wide range of objects, from china such as Royal Doulton to grace the most elegant of dinner tables, to exquisite jewellery to set off a perfect outfit.

And that is not the end of Clair’s plans for the shop in Station Street – she and the shop’s volunteers will soon be putting their creative flair to work on a big display of vintage clothing.

Always on the look out for new ideas, more volunteers to sort the stock, and for stock itself – particularly furniture and electrical goods, Clair said: “It is non-stop busy, but also very rewarding as you know that the shop funds go to the Butterfly Hospice to improve the lives of so many families and friends.”

The Butterfly Hospice is located behind Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, and provides care for people with life-limiting diseases from across the area.

If you are able to offer your time or have items to donate for sale in the shop, contact 01775 724590.

If you have furniture which you want to donate call the Butterfly Hospice warehouse on 07823 332008.
