Have your say

Stand-up comedy has certainly grown in popularity over recent years.

Big names spend months on tour for sell-out dates and there is plenty of talent out there.

Having seen some of those stars live as well as owning numerous DVDs, I was really looking forward to a fun-filled night to relax over two-and-a-half hours following another busy week.

Having a laugh on a Friday night seems the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

Headline act Keith Farnan has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and performed all over the world.

But even he was baffled by an Irish-based comment from the audience which then had to be explained to the rest of us!

One of the great skills shown by the top comedians is their ability to deal with heckling. Farnan coped with that strange moment and carried on.

His support acts Ben Schofield and Sean Moran did a good job as well while compere Kate Smurthwaite kept everything ticking along.

Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the South Holland Centre on Friday, November 27, for what promises to be another good night out.
