Weston Parish Clerk says farewell after 16 years




After holding the position of clerk to Weston Parish Council for just over 16 years, Susan Wilson has retired.

At her final parish council meeting on Monday evening last week, Susan was presented with a gift voucher, bouquet and card, from parish councillors.

After the presentation the parish council chairman, Coun Chris Dicks said: “We will sorely miss her.

“Clerks are a one-in-a-million. With their knowledge and expertise they keep councillors on the straight and narrow on things legal and procedural. Susan had a wealth of experience as clerk, having served other parish councils in South Holland too.

Interviews to find a replacement clerk took place last week, with the announcement of an appointment expected this week.
