Spalding power cut latest as repairs to network continue

Nearly 300 homes and businesses in Spalding are still waiting for their electricity supplies to be restored after a power cut today (Tuesday).

Engineers from electricity supplier Western Power Distribution are currently working to repair a fault which left more than 2,100 homes and businesses without power just before 12.20pm.

The Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian offices in Francis Street, Spalding, were among those affected by the power cut which a Western Power Distribution spokesman confirmed was due to a "network fault".
