South Holland remembrance services




Remembrance Sunday services will be held across South Holland on Sunday (November 10).

In Spalding, there will be temporary rolling road closures as the parade marches off from Market Place at 10.15am for a service in Ayscoughfee Gardens - and similar closures when the parade returns to Market Place.

Roads affected are: London Road at its junction with Vine Street; High Street at its junction with Holland Road; Church Street at its junction with Love Lane and Halmergate; and Cowbit Road at its junction with Churchgate and Love Lane.

Temporary road closures are expected in other towns and villages where parades are taking place.

Among places staging Remembrance Sunday events are:

Crowland: 2.45pm parade from North Street to the war memorial, followed by a service in the abbey.

Dawsmere: 10am service at Christ Church, 11am prayers at war memorial.

Donington: 10am parade gathers in Market Place, 10.30am service at St Mary and the Holy Rood.

Gosberton: 10am service at Methodist Church, 10.50am gathering at war memorial for 11am silence, refreshments afterwards in Public Hall.

Gosberton Risegate: 2.55pm ceremony and 3pm silence at the war memorial.

Holbeach: 1.55pm parade musters outside Holbeach Community Centre. 2.05pm march to All Saints' Churchyard, in Church Street, followed by a service in All Saints' Church.

Holbeach St Marks: 2.45pm gathering at war memorial.

Pinchbeck: 10.15am participants meet outside the village hall, 10.30am parade starts, 10.45am service at St Mary's.

Quadring: 10am service at St Margaret's Church.

Spalding: 10.15am march from Market Place to Ayscoughfee Gardens for 11am service.

Whaplode Drove: 10.45am service at St John the Baptist Church.
