Spalding Western Relief Road halted by contractors due to COVID-19 pandemic
Initial work on the new £100million Spalding Western Relief Road (SWRR) has been stopped following the coronavirus emergency.
West Sussex-based contractors Eurovia have shut down operations at all of its sites, including the Vernatts Drain area of Pinchbeck where the road’s northern section will be built.
Eourovia engineers first arrived on site two months ago when preparatory work started on the £27.6million section which will link Vernatts Drain to the B1356 Pinchbeck Road as part of a proposed 4,000 home development at the site.
