A committed group of parents and staff at the Sir John Gleed School in Spalding raised a “considerable sum”from its latest fundraiser.
A large raffle was held at the home of Parent Friend Association (PFA) vice-chairman Anthony Grunwell. He said: “The PFA has only been running about a year and it’s been successful. We started from nothing and are doing extremely well.” Students sold tickets to parents and friends and the raffle was drawn by governor David Fannin during a social event. Mr Grunwell said the money raised goes towards extras such as outdoor seating.
