YOUNGSTERS in Weston Hills stepped back in time to ancient Egypt.
Pupils in years three and four at the village primary school spent last term studying the country and its people in detail and they were given the chance to demonstrate what they had learned by dressing up and singing Egyptian songs to their parents and schoolmates.
Class three teacher Donna Upsall said: “It was very interesting and the children thoroughly enjoyed it, especially learning about mummification. They were very proud of themselves.
“They finished by doing an Egyptian dance and everyone enjoyed it. We had lots of good feedback from the parents.”
