Spalding-area public toilets are closed
It has been announced that public conveniences in South Holland are no longer open.
In a statement, South Holland District Council said: "As a result of staffing pressures, an increase in cases of vandalism and government guidance in relation to COVID-19, South Holland District Council has taken the difficult decision to temporarily close all of our public toilet facilities in the District from Tuesday 24 March until further notice.
"Our Environmental Services team are working hard to make sure that residents' waste is collected and streets are kept clean throughout this period with reduced operatives, which reduces our ability to regularly monitor the toilets and ensure the constant high levels of cleanliness which are needed to guarantee public safety.
