HOLBEACH students stepped out in style to celebrate the end of term – with a touch of Top Gear thrown in.
University Academy Holbeach held its annual prom night on Friday when hundreds of students dressed to impress and let their hair down before the summer holidays.
More than 100 Year 11 students attended the event, with many arriving in luxury courtesy of an impressive collection of classic cars including BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes and Rolls Royce.
Stylish prom dresses and suits were in abundance as the students were entertained with a disco and karaoke in the main hall.
Lesley Smillie, the academy’s assistant principal, said: “It was absolutely amazing and the young people looked fantastic.
“It’s incredible to think that they were with us as students earlier in the week and they come back looking grown up in their posh clothes.
“About 110 out of 140 Year 11 students came which was a really good representation of the year group.
“We make a big show of them arriving and they came in a whole range of different types of cars.
“The students seemed to enjoy it, we didn’t have any complaints and they all seemed really enthusiastic.”
