Pride flag raised at South Holland District Council offices

The Pride flag, which represents the LGBTQ community, has been raised outside South Holland District Council's offices.

The rainbow flag has been raised outside the Priory Road offices in order to mark Pride Month, which is a time when the LGBTQ community comes together to celebrate the acceptance of diversity.

Chairman Coun Paul Redgate, who raised the flag, said: "The flag has been raised because as a council we feel it is important that we recognise and celebrate the individuality and diversity throughout the district.

"We feel it is very important not to marginalise minorities and to be inclusive across the board."

The flag will fly outside the offices until the end of June.
