Staff and partners at a Spalding accountancy firm are celebrating after being awarded a prestigious status.

Partner Tom Williamson is delighted to have received the status from the software company, Xero.

He said: “This status recognises how well we are using the software and the amount of clients who are using it.

“We are proud to get to this level.”

The practice had been formed in the 1980s and became independent in the mid 1990s.

The company now has a team of nine accountants.

Mr Williamson said the firm is now quite a rarity and has retained its audit status.

He said: “We are a family firm which has retained its independence.

“I think we are very flexible and approachable and try to recognise clients as individuals.”

The company provides a comprehensive range of business and financial services.

These include support for fledgling businesses which are starting up along with consultancy and systems advice.

The team also offers advice on compliance services, investment and pensions along with taxation.
