FOURTEEN girls and several Guide leaders gathered for an Easter-inspired taster evening at Moulton Community Centre.
Ten to 14-year-olds were invited in a bid to inspire them to join the Guides.
Arranged by Guides leader Ann Tilbury, the girls completed a challenge where they had to rack their brains to come up with a design for a new chocolate bar and also played a game that involved eating huge amounts of chocolate too!
As well as taking part in various Easter activities the girls were also given a talk about what the Guides could offer them in terms of badges and camping.
This new unit has been set up in Moulton and the surrounding villages because units in Spalding and Holbeach have reached their full capacity.
Holbeach Guide District secretary Claire Hemstock, said: “Joining the Guides will give the girls a chance to be more independent and should boost their confidence and their self-esteem. They will also get to mix with other girls from the surrounding villages other than just girls from their primary schools.”
