There’s another chance for residents to get Covid vaccine at a walk-in clinic today.

Residents can go to St Mary’s Church Hall in Market Place, Long Sutton between 1pm and 7pm.

Boosters will be on offer along with first and second doses for anyone who is eligible, including 12-15 year olds who have a parent or guardian present to give consent.

Rebecca Neno, Director of Covid and Influenza Vaccination Programmes, NHS Lincolnshire CCG, said: “I would urge anyone who has not had either their first or second vaccinations or booster to come forward now – it is never too late to get vaccinated, and we continue to offer walk-in vaccinations at our two Mass Vaccination Centres (MVCs) at PRSA, Boston, and at the Lincolnshire Showground.”

As of yesterday's figures, 61.2% of people aged over 12 in South Holland had received their booster or third Covid vaccine.

That’s just below the national average of 62.3%.

The picture varies across the district - with the Spalding North (47.4%) and Spalding East (49.3%) wards seeing less than half of residents having had their booster.

In the seven days to January 11, 1,199 people tested positive for Covid in South Holland - up 6.9% on the week before but still below the national average and the third lowest in the East Midlands.

Three people died in South Holland within 28 days of a positive Covid test in the last week - taking the total during the pandemic to 233.
