Christmas was well and truly ‘wrapped up’ for six-year-old Kieran Taylor when he met his idol Olly Murs.
The youngster, from Deeping St Nicholas, had his wish to meet the singer granted thanks to Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity and retailer Outfit.
Kieran was diagnosed with a brain tumour in May this year, which was surgically removed, and he now has to take regular medication.
Despite what he has been through he has remained brave and is described as an extremely kind and friendly boy.
Olly Murs has been an ambassador for the charity since 2012 and regularly gives up his time to help grant wishes for seriously ill children in the UK.
An exclusive event was hosted by Rays of Sunshine’s fundraising partners, Outfit, in central London, where Olly spent time chatting to children, before posing for photos.

When it was Kieran’s turn to ask the famous singer a question, he asked him if he could sing ‘Why Do I Love You?’ with him, and Olly was more than happy to oblige.
Kieran, who was dressed in a festive reindeer jumper, also got to sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with the popstar.
He said: “Today has been the best day of my life.”
Kieran’s mother Karen, added: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Rays of Sunshine.
“Kieran had an amazing time meeting Olly Murs and as he said, it was the best day ever.
“Olly is such a down to earth person who made every single child feel extra special. It was lovely to see the wonderful smiles on all the children’s faces.”
The pop star said: “I love being an ambassador for Rays of Sunshine and meeting so many fantastic families and children, just like Kieran. It was a pleasure to chat to Kieran and his family, spending time getting to know them.”
