Have your say

A SIXTH win on the spin has enhanced Lake Ross A’s title credentials in Hart-Marler Spalding and District League Division B.

The Pode Hole side shaded a tight tussle with fellow high-fliers Castle Sports 5-4 to move four points clear of the chasing pack.

In a topsy-turvy battle, the leaders needed a doubles win from Richard Faulkner and F Johnson at the death to seal their success.

Castle, who slip to fourth, would have moved level at the top if they could have managed a victory.

But it’s now seven wins from nine games for the Lake Ross, who are being hunted by a clutch of four teams.

Drayman’s Arms B lead the chasing pack – and they were gifted a 6-0 success by Lake Ross B, who failed to turn up.
