I have read the letters from David Turp in recent editions of your papers regarding the ‘Pinchbeck Chimes’ and suggest that he should have read the March issue before putting pen to paper.
The three councillors for Pinchbeck, West Pinchbeck and Surfleet made a ‘one-off’ payment from their combined designated budget to help pay for the publication of the March edition of the parish magazines that are distributed free to households in the parishes – an action that was acknowledged by the publication.
Should Mr Turp be elected in May how would he propose to advise us how he spends his designated allowance?
In this edition of the magazine the councillors gave details of how they had been spending their designated budgets in the last year and inviting us to submit further projects for their consideration.
I am sure that by using this method they spent less of their designated budgets and got the information to those prepared to read the magazine than if they had arranged for the printing and distribution of a leaflet to all houses, thus making better use of this money allocated to councillors and leaving more for other projects.
Should Mr Turp be elected in May how would he propose to advise us how he spends his designated allowance? Or will he not take the money allocated for useful small works in our parishes?
