Police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are investigating a tragic accident that claimed the life of an 18-year-old South Holland man.

The man, named locally as Josh Disdel, is believed to have been working in the road for a building firm on the outskirts of Boston when he was struck by a vehicle and died later in hospital.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "An-18 year-old man has died following an incident involving a vehicle on White Bridges, Boston, at about 8.45am on Friday 13 July.

"The incident involved a white Citroen Nemo van and the victim who was in the road. The circumstances of the incident are subject to an investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit of Lincolnshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive."
