POLICE have confirmed an investigation is under way into the way officers responded to an incident in Holbeach.
A spokesman has said an enquiry is being dealt with by Lincolnshire’s Professional Standards following a complaint to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
They said the complaint was made regarding some youth disorder at a playing field in the town.
The issue was raised at Holbeach Parish Council’s meeting last Monday.
Coun Peter Savory said: “I did the paperwork and I have had notification back that the appeal has been upheld. It has now gone back to the police.”
An IPCC spokesman said: “The IPCC has upheld an appeal from a Holbeach parish councillor relating to the non-recording of a complaint by Lincolnshire Police.
“It is now for the police force to record the complaint and contact the complainant to progress it.”
