South Holland Police are cracking down on cycling offenders in Spalding

Spalding police have begun to clamp down on cycling offenders in the town centre.

This work is part of South Holland Police's new priority work in the town.

Three cyclists have been issued with Fixed Penalty Notices so far after being caught cycling on pavements.

Local schools are supporting police with the project by employing a three-step educational approach with children.

A South Holland Police statement on Facebook said: "Our aim is not to discourage cyclists but to make it a safe experience for everyone who is using roads and footpaths."
