Policing of South Holland is set to hit the small screens for a further two years after the success of Channel 5’s Police Interceptors.

Although the programme does not feature local officers, viewers have watched search warrants being executed in Sutton Bridge, vehicle checks in Holbeach and the policing of the Spalding Flower Parade.

Lincolnshire Police has been working with Raw Cut TV film company which produces the programme for over a year.

It features footage of officers doing their jobs, with the majority of the incidents showing the force roads policing unit, police dogs and their handlers, specialist operations units and the Operation Galileo rural crime team policing the county.

Ins Jim Tyner said: “I have enjoyed seeing the clips from across South Holland. The programme does reflect some of the challenges facing us when policing such a large and diverse county.

“Of course, I think they should spend a day with our PCSOs on cycle patrol.”
