Spalding councillor wants to end road safety troubles in St John's

Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones is to attend a key meeting on road safety for St John's ward, Spalding.

District councillor Jack McLean is stepping up his calls for safety measures after a car demolished a garden wall and hit a house in Winsover Road.

He says it's a miracle no-one was seriously hurt.

Coun McLean has organised a public meeting to start at 5pm on Wednesday, February 6 in Tonic Health, Broadgate House, Westlode Street.

Invitations have gone to highways figures but Coun McLean is keen to see residents attend to suggest ways of calming traffic on Winsover Road, Pennygate and their connected junctions.

He said: "We aim to tackle the speeding and persistent obstructions."
