Plonk, the anthology produced by a writers’ group that meets in Spalding, was launched to an appreciative audience at Bookmark in the town.
The Red Wine Writers – pictured (back, from left) Terry Martin, Siân Thomas, Julie Williams and (front) Chris Dickinson, Jane Crane and Adrian Lazell – read excerpts from their stories and poems in the book.
There was standing room only as the room filled with family, friends and supporters of the writers – a seventh contributor, Mark Badham-Moore, wasn’t present.
After answering questions, the writers – who meet monthly in the Riverbank Studios – signed copies of their books.
Bookmark proprietor Christine Hanson told them she thought their work was as good as that written by some professional authors whose work she sells in the shop.
