A CALL has been made for parcels of land in Pinchbeck which could be used to build affordable housing.
The plea has come from the newly-formed Pinchbeck Community Land Trust, which puts residents in the driving seat to shape the village’s future.
It is concentrating its efforts on providing affordable homes for people of the village, but could eventually provide other community-owned facilities such as shops, pubs and allotments.
The trust is asking anyone within Pinchbeck or West Pinchbeck who has an area of around one acre available to get in touch as it is looking for a site suitable for around a dozen homes.
The houses would be a mix of sizes and styles, but would all be high quality and energy efficient.
Chairman of the trust’s steering committee Steve Colby said: “We want as many people to come forward as possible so that we have a choice of possible locations for our development,
“The homes themselves will be a mix of two and three bedrooms and a variety of rented, owned and shared ownership properties primarily for the people of Pinchbeck.”
Anyone who can help with an offer of land can write to Pinchbeck CLT Steering Group, Adult Study Centre, Knight Street, Pinchbeck, PE11 3RB or e-mail email@example.com.
