New play equipment for Cowbit play area after £20,000 donation from Spalding-based developer Ashwood Homes

Youngsters in Cowbit have some new play equipment to enjoy in half-term week with the help of a Spalding developer.

Ashwood Homes offered a £20,000 donation to Cowbit Parish Council for improvements to the village playing field off Parking Road.

The new-look play area was officially opened on Tuesday when children from Cowbit wasted no time in trying out the new equipment which is designed to cater for all ages.

Coun Trevor Tyrrell, parish council chairman, said: “The children have taken to the new play equipment very well and everybody seems to like it.

“It’s designed for everybody from young children right up to adults and the new equipment can be made as testing as people want it to be.

“A grant was to given to Cowbit Parish Council by Ashwood Homes as a kind gesture and the village now has a diverse array of play equipment for everyone to try.”
