Spalding's Springfields Outlet submits plans for expansion

Springfields Outlet Centre has now submitted formal plans for a major expansion.

In March last year, we revealed owner Triton Property Fund was launching a public consultation on plans which could see around 15 new major name stores, four cafes and restaurants, 236 additional parking spaces and the introduction of more electric vehicle chargers.

Now a formal planning application has been submitted to South Holland District Council for a proposed extension of the outlet, which will see demolition of the NFU Mutual offices and provision of new floorspace to include flexible retail and/or coffee shops/restaurants, access, revised car parking, landscaping and associated works.

As the plans were unveiled, Springfields said 350 jobs could be created and the development would bring in stores entirely new to Spalding.
