Holbeach traveller site could have four additional pitches if planners agree
New pitches could be added onto a Holbeach travellers site if planners give the green light.
Mark Gaskin wants to add four pitches for family members on to agricultural land to the rear of 6 Rose View Drive, Holbeach.
An application was submitted to South Holland District Council on January 6.
The supporting statement which accompanies the application says the plans are in character with the existing site.
It states: “The land in question is vacant agricultural land to the rear of an existing traveller pitch site with central shared access road off the A151. The site is therefore a logical and an ‘in character’ linear extension of the existing site.
“The proposed four plots are for the applicants’ family and will be served via the new/adjusted gated access of No.6’s pitch.
“Each of the new plots will have one mobile home or chalet, and three touring caravans.”
Plans have also been submitted at the neighbouring Food Enterprise Zone for a cluster hub building. The building will provide small and medium-sized business tenants with support services.
