PICTURES: New pavilion opens at Jerry Green's Algarkirk centre
Crowds turned up to support the opening of the new £200,000 PawPrint Pavillion at Jerry Green Dog Rescue's south Lincolnshire centre, despite wet weather.
There was a fun dog show at the Algarkirk centre, dog toys and treats on sale, a tombola, raffle and refreshments. More than £1,000 was raised.
The ribbon was cut by Pawprint Charitable Trust honorary secretary Victoria Taylor and chairman John Taylor. The pavilion is a new multi-purpose, all-weather space named after PawPrint, which provided the grant to fund it.
A spokesman said: "We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who braved the weather last Saturday to attend the big opening of our new pavilion and meet and match facilities.
"We would also like to thank Holbeach Brass Band, who kept people entertained whilst the weather was against us.
"Thanks should also go Rookes Pet Products who supplied prizes for our fun dog show and South Lincs vet group who sponsored the show and also had the tough job of judging entries.
