PICTURE GALLERY: St George's Day celebrated in Tydd St Mary

Pupils and staff at Tydd St Mary Primary School took to the village on their first day back after the Easter break, celebrating St George's Day.

The school samba band was joined by Cedric the Dragon (pupils Warren, Corey and Archie) and large numbers of parents and grandparents. Other village residents lined the route and even waved flags.

The parade finished in the village park where the children enjoyed singing and dancing, based on the moment when George slayed the dragon.

This fun event grows in popularity each year and highlights the sense of family and community which is so very important to the school.
