PICTURE GALLERY: Volley good show as youngsters from Langtoft, Long Sutton, Moulton and Spalding try a new sport

Some 24 teams from four primaries visited Spalding High to play in this year's Lincolnshire South East School Sport Partnership Under-11 Volleyball.

Since many pupils had not played volleyball before, the day started with a session learning the rules, watching a demonstration game and some practice. It was great to see how quickly all pupils improved as the day progressed.

Youngsters from Moulton's John Harrox Primary, Spalding Parish, Long Sutton and Langtoft Primaries all displayed excellent teamwork, passion and respect.

School Games organiser Rupert Gibson, of Agilitas Sports, said: "Our huge thanks go to Spalding High School for hosting the event and providing pupils from their Leadership Academy to officiate. They did a superb job."

"Best of luck to Langtoft who qualify for the county finals in March."
