Payback team cleans up Crowland

Have your say

Crowland is looking neater thanks to the hard work of the Community Payback Team.

Parish councillors were told at their recent meeting the team has been scrubbing moss off the tennis courts and has also spent a couple of hours in the churchyard.

The repair of the tennis courts wall was also discussed.

A large amount of rubbish has been reported in the dyke at Barbers Drove. Councillors decided to report this to the highways department at Lincolnshire County Council.

The sculpture near Crowland library has been repainted and councillors heard quotes are now being sought to clean

the glass floor.

PCSO Adam Davies was met with concerns about the speed of some traffic using the old A1073 from Radar Corner to the roundabout at the end of Peterborough Road. The limit is 50mph along that stretch.

He said some people had told him when they called 101 they were having to wait but explained unfortunately the line does get busy.
