A worker from Bakkavor in Spalding has been honoured for 46 years’ service with the fresh prepared food manufacturer.
Paul Easey joined 53 other employees from all over the UK for an afternoon celebration at the group’s head office in London.
The awards were hosted by Bakkavor CEO and founder Agust Gudmundsson and Lydur Gudmundsson, who presented certificates and a bottle of champagne to employees who had achieved over 30 years’ service.
Between the employees, they have over 1,620 years of long service across the group.
The employees come from sites across the business including Hitchen Foods, Bakkavor Meals Spalding, Tilmanstone Salads, Bakkavor Pizza Harrow and Sutton Bridge, Caledonian Produce in Scotland and Bakkavor Desserts Newark.
The awards are part of nationwide celebrations taking place to mark 30 years since the company first started.
Bakkavor today employs 18,000 people worldwide, developing and producing over 5,000 products and partnering with the major grocery retailers worldwide.
