Accident on B1166 Hulls Drove where transporter comes off road leaves one person in hospital




A patient has been taken to hospital after a transporter with vehicles on board left the road and went into a ditch near Shepeau Stow on Thursday.

It happened on the B1166 Hulls Drove, between Holbeach Drove and Shepeau Stow, at about 1.25pm.

Spalding Today understand that the transporter, belonging to DF (Services) Ltd of Kent, was delivering Isuzu cars and pick-ups to W.H. Brand vehicle dealership in Whaplode Drove, about a mile from where the accident happened.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 1.24pm on Thursday to attend Hulls Drove where the caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision.

"We sent an ambulance and one patient was taken to Peterborough City Hospital."

The patient's condition or any injuries suffered is as yet unknown.
