Passenger dies after Long Sutton A17 crash




A man has sadly died following a crash in Long Sutton earlier this week.

The man, who was in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the blue Mazda he was travelling in collided with the central reservation on the A17, close to the junction of Seagate Road on Monday at 10.20pm.

He died during the early hours of this morning.

A woman, in her 30s, was driving the car and also suffered serious injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision.

A statement said: "We are appealing to anyone who saw the vehicle lose control, or anyone who was travelling on the A17 around that time, who may have seen the blue 08 plate Mazda prior to the collision. We would also like to speak to anyone who has recorded dash cam footage while travelling along the A17 between Long Sutton and Holbeach prior to the collision."
