Bakkavor Party in the Park at Springfields Conference and Event Centre, Spalding
Families in Spalding and South Holland started the school summer holiday on a high at Bakkavor's annual Party in the Park.
The free event over two days included fairground rides, stalls, games, live music from Yorkshire band, The Score, as well as Abba, Rihanna and U2 tribute acts, along with special appearances by Disney characters’ Belle and Elsa from the musical Frozen.
Visitors from as far away as London, Leicester and Newark joined people from across the county for the event, held at Springfields Events and Conference Centre, which was rounded off with a spectacular fireworks display.
Mike Edwards, chief operating officer for Bakkavor Group UK, said: "It was great to see so many of our colleagues and their families, together with members of the public, enjoying our Bakkavor Party in the Park and Family Fun Weekend.
"The event signifies just one of the ways we can show, as a company, that we recognise and value the important role our colleagues play in making our business a success."
"I would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time, as well as all of the people who joined us to make this a very special weekend."
Organiser took time out to pay tribute to a pair of long-serving Bakkavor employees, Pat Baxter and Andy Green, both of whom were involved in putting on past Party in the Park events.
Funds raised at weekend will be donated to UK charity FareShare, which helps tackle hunger and food waste, as well as other charities that attended the event.
Mr Edwards said: "It is brilliant that we can host a weekend of fun and entertainment for our employees, their families and the local community."
