Cowbit, Holbeach Hurn and Tongue End have parish council vacancies

Three local parish councils have vacancies after the resignation of councillors.

The Hurn ward of Holbeach Parish Council, the Tongue End ward of Deeping St Nicholas and Cowbit Parish Council all have vacancies.

In Holbeach Hurn, Rachel Flood has stepped down. If a request for an election is made in writing to the returning officer by 10 electors by February 6, an election will be held by April 9 to fill the vacancy. Otherwise, it will be filled by co-option.

In the Deeping St Nicholas ward of Tongue End, Carol Mackenzie has resigned and in Cowbit Parish Council, Peter Simpson has stepped down.

The request for an election in these two wards must be made by February 13, with any elections taking place by April 20.
