The Hurst Children’s Theatre Group is making its sixth panto appearance in Spalding on Friday and Saturday.
The youngsters aged between four and 16 are performing Jack and the Beanstalk at South Holland Centre.
In traditional fashion, the panto has been written by Mike Hurst and contains “cringeworthy jokes and unlikely song cues”, according to Bryony Hurst.
Bryony says: “The very youngest children are The Little Beanies, who once again will be dazzled by the lights, forget their lines, be dead chuffed with their costumes and as always be just marvellous.”
The title role is being played by 13-year-old Eleanor Waldock, who has a two-headed giant to defeat while also up against his evil henchman, Grim, played by 14-year-old Ally Milne. Other characters include Jack’s love interest Jill (Evie McLeod), idiot bailiffs, Simple Simon and a ghost.
Tickets are £8.50 and £6.50 concessions from the South Holland Centre box office on 01775 764777.
