A17 Sutton Bridge roundabout to be closed overnight for repairs

Worn out sections of carriageway on the roundabout adjacent to the Cross Keys Bridge at Sutton Bridge are due to be replaced on the evening of Monday, June 17.

To allow the works to take place safely, the roundabout will be closed from 7pm to 6am, with a signed diversion route put in place, directing traffic via the A17, A47, A1101 then back on to the A17.

The local highways manager said: "It's vital we get these repairs done to ensure the roundabout remains safe for motorists.

"In order to minimise the disruption, we've scheduled the works to take place overnight, when the roads are quieter.

"We're also going to take the opportunity to clean out the drainage system and refresh the road markings at the same time.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and would encourage motorists to use an alternative route while the repairs are carried out."
