Outline permission for homes granted

Despite some initial concerns over highway access, outline permission for a development of 30 homes in Crowland was approved.

The site is on the south side of Low Road and the east side of Plank Drove and is currently mostly agricultural land,

It was noted by Coun Bryan Alcock that Plank Drove is only a single-track lane with one passing place, so access to Broadway may be compromised.

However, Crowland Parish Council is in support for the plan, which is within the settlement area in the emerging South East Lincolnshire Plan.

The applicant now has to enter into a Section 106 agreement to secure 25 per cent affordable housing on the site and financial contributions towards both education and the NHS.
