STAFF at the Spalding Guardian and Lincolnshire Free Press will be doing their bit for local causes by hosting a quiz night during the Two Lips charity week.
Deputy editor Nigel Chapman will turn quizmaster and put knowledge to the test in the event at St Norbert’s Church Hall on St Thomas’s Road, Spalding, on Thursday, May 17.
The Rotary Club of Spalding is calling for as many people as possible to join in with fundraising throughout the week, which is being held from May 14-21.
Those set to benefit include Spalding’s branch of PHAB, the League of Friends of the Spalding Hospitals, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Scouts and Guides.
They have each been carefully chosen by Rotary Club members for the work carried out locally.
It’s hoped more than £10,000 can be collected from across South Holland throughout the week – with donations already starting to come in.
The Spalding Guardian quiz is at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Those hoping to take part should put the date in their diary. Details of how to enter and cost will be published in the paper in the coming weeks.
A full rundown of all the events taking place as part of Two Lips will also appear soon.
