One person needed treatment by paramedics after a van crashed in Holbeach Drove today (Thursday).

It happened in Barr's Lane, off, Holbeach Drove Gate where fire crews from Crowland and Holbeach were called to a white Iveco panel van that left the road at about 9.50am.

Firefighters gave first aid to the casualty whilst clearing up diesel spillage and they also made the van safe before paramedics arrived.

It came a day after a two-vehicle crash in Pinchbeck which left one person needing hospital treatment.

Paramedics and firefighters were called to Money Bridge Lane, at its junction with Northgate, at about 9am yesterday (Wednesday).

Fire crews from Spalding and Donington used hydraulic cutting gear to release one person who was then taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 9:01am to Money Bridge Lane, Pinchbeck, where the caller reported a road traffic collision involving two vehicles and we sent a double crewed ambulance."
