That revered local institution, the Old Luttonians v Long Sutton Cricket Club match, takes place on Sunday.
In fact, the event was only started in 2012, resulting in giant cheques for £670 apiece being handed over to Lutton Parish Church and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, both charities nominated by that year’s winning team, the Old Luttonians.
Last year the match resulted in £766 going to Prostate Cancer UK and £383 to the cricket club.
This year’s game is at Long Sutton Cricket Club (noon-6pm) followed by a barbecue at the Jolly Crispin in Lutton (7pm).
Money raised will be divided between the cricket club for much-needed equipment and the Multiple Scleroris Society.
