LETTER: The one benefit of these many road closures

Have your say

Like many motorists I have been delayed, annoyed, confused and frustrated by the many road closures and diversions in Spalding of late.

The dreaded closure and diversion boards seem to be breeding like so many yellow rabbits.

I am sure all this is necessary and improved traffic flow will result in the end.

Having said this, there is one road closure that seems to have resulted in improved traffic flow from Station Approach into Winsover Road already.

This is the closure of Swan Street, the removal of one set of traffic lights and re-phasing of the remaining ones.

I feel that if this was made permanent, (after a traffic survey) this would be a big improvement.

I wonder if any other of your readers feel the same?
