Lionel Baker, of Belchmire Lane, Gosberton, died at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, on January 17.
He was 85.
Mr Baker, the son of the late Leslie and Ivy Baker, leaves behind wife Jean, daughter Marilyn Hammond and son Richard Baker.
Educated at Gosberton School, Mr Baker worked as a airframe fitter in the RAF and travelled to Germany just after the war with the RAF, working on Spitfires and Lancasters.
He later worked as a carpenter, painter and decorater.
Mr Baker was an active member of Probus and loved aircraft, especially the Battle of Britain flight.
He also enjoyed Formula One racing and followed BRM.
Mr Baker’s funeral, conducted by Rev Ian Walters, was held at Gosberton Church on January 31, followed by cremation in Boston.
