Advice for South Holland Business Award entrants
Organisers of the South Holland Business Awards 2019 are looking to reward the best local enterprises.
They have issued advice to ensure businesses stand the best chance of their applications are successful.
The South Holland Business Awards winners will be announced in a glittering ceremony at the Springfields Events and Conference Centre in Spalding on Thursday, November 14.
Here are their tips.
First, keep in mind you can apply for more than one award, meaning you can increase your chances of winning. Choose the categories that best fit you and your business: Apprentice of the Year; Business Innovation – sponsored by Duncan and Toplis; Business Person of The Yearin Memory of Phil Scarlett – sponsored by South Holland District Council; Business of the Year – sponsored by Woodhouse Farm Lodge; Customer Care – sponsored by Ringrose Law; Food, Drink and Farming of the Year; Small Business of the Year – sponsored by Charmed Interiors; Supporting the Community – sponsored by Welland Power
Writing a strong application is vital; read the judging criteria thoroughly, address each point and include supporting evidence. Your application should be a reasonable length, the judges will be looking for effort and a desire to win.
Make sure to be clear and concise in why you should be considered for this award and what makes you stand out from the other applicants. List your achievements, and especially any awards or accolades you have earned.
Winning an award has made a big difference to many of the successful businesses, including in terms of publicity and growth.
