PILGRIM Hospital bosses are still demanding answers over why student nurses have been pulled out of their placements.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust have asked for more information about the decision by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, despite receiving a letter of explanation from it this week.
The 82 students from the University of Lincoln, University of Nottingham and The Open University were withdrawn two weeks ago when “serious concerns” were raised with the council.
A spokesman from ULHT said: “United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust can confirm it has received a letter from the NMC as requested.
“However, the trust is seeking further clarification from the NMC to explain the reasons for their actions.”
