A regular column from Tulip Radio.

Being a family owned business Hughes Electrical knows the importance of close ties to the community and other organisations, writes Jan Whitbourn.

It is vital to the local community for close liaisons to be foremost; via this route we keep a lively, vibrant and busy market town. Hughes have a policy to be part of the community by our social responsibility within the community, it seemed an ideal scenario to offer a portable speaker to Tulip Radio, also providing a unique service to the people of South Holland.

We are sure that most people enjoy local events, and close working relationships, this small competition to win a fantastic battery powered speaker will provide hours of entertainment for the coming summer season, ideal for barbeques and the like.

You can be assured that with nearly 100 years of trading we are well versed in customer commitment and integrity, call and have a chat with us in our Sheep Market store for more electrical goods, not only for sale but rental as well.

Ashley Baxter said: “This was a great opportunity to be able to enter a competition for something that will be very useful.” He entered on the spur of the moment never expecting to win such a great prize and just in time for Eurovision and being outside in the summer months!

Ashley thanks to everyone at Hughes and said: “I will certainly keep tuned to Tulip Radio.”

The answer to the question, ‘What year did Hughes buy their first shop’- 1928.

Thank you to Hughes Electrical in Sheep Market for being the sponsors of this competition and well done to Ashley for winning the Phillips Battery Powered Blue Tooth Speaker.

Keep it tuned to for more great prizes to be won.
