A weekly column from Tulip Radio’s Jan Whitbourn.
Josh Francis is a new helper with Tulip Radio who has now started to learn the IT and media behind the microphone. Josh is keen to get involved with any shows and playing tracks from all genres, and is happy to be part of the team in any way.
Josh is from Spalding and at the age of 23 decided he wanted to be a part of the airwaves and learn more about the community and different businesses that he could get involved with while promoting them on air.
He was away for three years at university, studying for a degree in journalism at the University of Lincoln. During his time there he managed to develop a passion for radio, being part of Siren FM with many other young people from university. They built up shows around the community and Josh is hoping to be able to do the same here at Tulip.
Josh approached Tulip Radio wanting to be part of the team and learn a new skill of presenting and wants to learn all aspects of broadcasting, knowing it will enhance his knowledge to help him do what he wants to do in the future.
Listen out for Josh coming soon to the airwaves and send in any information you want him and other presenters to broadcast to the community. Visit the Community Diary page at tulip-radio.co.uk for more information.
