Spalding Town Husbands received more than 50 applications for ten new homes built for the charity by Broadgate Builders.

Charity chairman Petronella Keeling is pictured (front) receiving the keys from Broadgate boss Ian Canham at the new development in Larkspur Close, off Woolram Wygate, Spalding.
Patrick Skells, deputy clerk to the Town Husbands, said the new homes will be occupied between now and Christmas and the number of applications shows there is a demand in the area for this sort of accommodation. The additional homes means the charity now has 71 almshouses.
